Land Rover Approves a Special Variant of Defender by SVO
Land Rover approved creation of a bigger quantity of SVO variants and the pioneer of the series will take its roots from the Defender.
Despite the Defender is planned to be replaced, it probably will be taken care of with the Special Vehicle Operations since one special variant has been approved for launching in the next year. John Edwards, the SVO leader stated that the model will be based on the Paris-Dakar and race-spec Camel Trophy offerings, though he did not give detailed information.
Other goods of SVO brand are to come, since Edwards hinted on the company’s division consisting of 500 workers which is competent in four areas. They are special cars, branded and heritage products, and personalization of the vehicles. Besides variants like the cross country offerings (the future Defender) and the Range Rover Sport SVR, the boss states that they will modify the enhanced comfort offerings in the JLR range.
The automaker will debate if the division will create hot offerings powered on diesel, meanwhile it is also being thought over if the Jaguar vehicles will have SVO implemented.
