2014 Range Rover with Defective Turn Signal Indicator
Potentially dangerous malfunction of turn signal indicator has forced Land Rover to initiate a recall affecting this year’s Range Rover model.
Issue lies in absence of correct turn signal failure display on the dashboard. Quick flashing of the signal is not working, thus, a driver might proceed with the ride unaware of the problem. He may assume correct work of notification system, but it will be impossible for the drivers of other cars in the traffic to predict turning direction, which can cause accidents. The defect is found in more than 5,000 SUVs.
Cars with malfunctioning signal were assembled during five months of 2013. The defect has not led to reported car crashes. In summer notification campaign will start allowing drivers to obtain programme update in their dealerships.
