Original 1971 Miura SV was restored by Lamborghini
The automaker has been carefully reviving the 1972 Miura SV that was presented at the Motor Show in Geneva. This happened 45 years ago.
The offering will be showcased at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The car is a pre-production prototype that is announced as a “one-off”. The thing is that it has a lot of details taken from the Miura S in combination with the new ones. With the lapse of time they will migrate on latter variants of the SV.
The vehicle was diligently restored with the help of pictures and historic papers. The restorers wanted it to resemble the original vehicle as much as possible. The specialists retuned the vehicle’s exterior to its initial shape with the help of production sheets and records obtained from Automobili Lamborghini. The professionals diligently restored some details and refurbished the cabin featuring tan leather upholstery.
Obviously, some details need replacement. However, the automaker desired to keep the car as close to the initial version as possible. The vehicle’s engine was also overhauled. The vehicle features Verde Metallizata metallic green colour.
The chief of the company stated that this unit illustrates the iconic appeal of the Miura. Besides, it is a splendid example of the expertise of the automaker.
