New Lamborghini Aventador delayed

The company Lamborghini said about the difficulties encountered in the development of the flagship car Aventador.

Problems with the parent group Volkswagen Group caused the premiere of the successor of the model: first, the supercar was planned for 2020, then for 2021, 2022, and now for 2024.

The differences themselves are as follows: Volkswagen Group is blocking the allocation of money for the adaptation of the V12 6.5 liter due to strict environmental standards. They propose replacing the atmospheric with a hybrid installation, where a 4.0-liter V8 will appear at the base.

Lamborghini director Stefano Domenicali wants to leave the atmospheric V12, and electrification can help meet environmental standards, so the rejection of his 12-cylinder engine will not take place.

If the new Lamborghini Aventador delayed until 2024, a second updated version of the model would appear.
