Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse Takes Competitions to the Streets

Fresh version of the Lamborghini Gallardo has been uncovered, the LP 570-4 Squadra Corse which is going to bring race track experience to the road.

The Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is the most extraordinary model in the Gallardo lineup and is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo race vehicle. The name Squadra Corse pays homage to the recently established group within Lamborghini, which is in charge of all auto-sports activities for the company. Unique to the model is the same rear spoiler equipped on the race vehicles, a removable motor hood with a quick-release option, along with a few components constructed from carbon fiber, featuring the mentioned hood and spoiler.

The Squadra Corse Gallardo weighs around 2,950 lbs, which is over 150 lbs lighter than the Gallardo LP 560-4. It accelerates to 62 mph in just 3.4 sec and tops out at 199 mph. Powering the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is a V10 motor with 570 horsepower and will come standard with the automatic e-gear, 6-speed transmission found in the race vehicle.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse will be officially uncovered at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
