Hong Kong, Meet Lamborghini Sesto Elemento!
A rare Sesto Elemento from Lamborghini has arrived in Hong Kong.
The vehicle was firstly presented as a concept at the Motor Show in Paris 6 years ago. It was a success and the company stated about its planes to release 20 production offerings in 2011.
Lamborghini Hong Kong did not mention much information about the car. However, all vehicles of this kind feature a carbon fibber reinforced plastic bodywork and carbon fibber monocoque underpinning. The automaker’s specialists fitted the vehicle with carbon fibber wheels, advanced glass-ceramic matrix composite tailpipes and a carbon-ceramic braking set-up and a carbon fibber enhanced plastic propeller shaft. All together these features enable the vehicle to weight only 2.202 pounds.
The power comes from a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre ten-cylinder unit with the output of 562 hp and torque of 398 pound-feet. In accordance with today’s standard that does not make much, however, the power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle stands at 3.9 lbs per hp.
The motor is joined to a 6-speed e.gear transmission and a permanent four-wheel drive set-up. In such a way, the model can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is 186 mph.
