Introducing the Futuristic Kia EV4
The Unveiling of the Kia EV4
After more than a year since the debut of the EV4 concept, Kia is finally revealing the production model. With its distinct character, the EV4 stays true to its concept roots, featuring regular side mirrors and sleek flush door handles. While the interior remains a mystery for now, the full unveiling is scheduled for later this month, along with the release of technical specifications.
A Futuristic Design
Both the hatchback and sedan variants of the Kia EV4 are showcased in the flagship GT-Line version, showcasing unique designs of 19-inch wheels. The sedan's sleek roofline might evoke thoughts of a five-door liftback, but the low cutline confirms a separate trunk lid. Not only the rear ends differ between the two models, but Kia has also designed distinct front bumpers. The trend of vertical front and rear lights adds to their futuristic appeal.
Standing out from the crowd, the EV4 sedan boasts an unusually long rear overhang, while the hatchback captivates with its unconventional design. These vehicles exude a striking and concept-like aesthetic, steering clear of the typical crossover look. If Hyundai were to present an equivalent model, it would be exciting to see the Ioniq 4's potential design.
Upcoming Unveiling and Plans
Keep an eye out for the full reveal of the Kia EV4 during the 2025 Kia EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain on February 24. Three days later, on February 27, complete technical specifications will be disclosed. Although not confirmed, there is speculation that the EV4 may be available in the United States, positioned above the EV3 small crossover.
In addition to the EV4, Kia will also introduce a more affordable EV2 during EV Day, expected to be limited to certain markets.
