Kia has stated about its wireless charger for the Soul EV. According to the company, it is in its final development phase.

Mojo Mobility helped to create this charger. It was designed in order to transfer the high power without a need of precise flattening between the vehicle and the charger. The automaker assures that the wireless charger will create better conditions for having an electric car. In such a way, it hopes to gain more customers. Kia also mentioned that wireless chargers could help them to go in for lighter and smaller batteries.

The final test stage includes using 5 Soul EVs. It will help to determine how the battery charger does its work in reality. A number of technicians and engineers are going to evaluate the performance of the wireless charger. Besides, its safety and durability will be estimated.
