2014 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Debuts this Week
The company is uncovering a new Wrangler named the Willys Wheeler, which is going to be unveiled this week in Los Angeles.
The Willys Wheeler model is going to revive the original Jeep’s pure functional capability, and receives a host of upgraded hardware.
Based on the Wrangler Sport, the Willys Wheeler is equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip rear differential and 3.73 gears, off-road tires, a package of rock rails and a fresh Jeep Trail Rated Kit that features a D-Ring, tow strap and gloves in a Jeep-branded bag. A 2-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio is also used on this special model.
Notably, the power is still generated by the 3.6L Pentastar V6 motor that provides 286 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque. Exterior was also enhanced on the Willys Wheeler, with gloss black accessories, satin black decals and high-gloss black 17-inch aluminium wheels.
Price for the Willys Wheeler model Wrangler kicks off at $25,785 for a 2-door version and increases to $29,585 for Unlimited (4-door) versions.
