Jaguar has announced Details about the 2016 Jaguar XE U.S.
Jaguar has shared new information about the US-spec XE.
The model is scheduled to arrive in spring of 2016. It will be offered with two different motors in America. The upper-level XE 35t will boast a 3.0-litre supercharged six-cylinder engine which generates 340 hp (or 253 kW) and torque of 318 lb-ft (or 430 Nm). The engine will be joined to an 8-speed automatic gear-box. The transmission enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 4.9 seconds. An electronically limited top speed is 155 mph (or 250 km/h).
There also will be the XE 20d for entry-level customers. It will be equipped with a 2.0-litre Ingenium V4 diesel engine capable to develop 180 hp (or 134 kW) and torque of 332 lb-ft (or 430 Nm).
Jaguar also confirmed the information that the XE is going to be offered in R-Sport, Premium and Prestige trims. Among other details, the R-Sport trim is said to boast satin chrome side vents, a discreet rear spoiler and gloss black window surrounds.
The XE will also have ambient lighting, a laser heads-up display and two Meridian audio systems. Moreover, it will benefit from an assortment of aluminium and wood trim and an InControl infotainment system.
