Jaguar XQ Crossover to be Showed in Frankfurt
Brand-new Jaguar XQ crossover, which is going to share its platform with a Jaguar sedan, will be presented at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
Rather than sharing a platform with a current Land Rover model, the Jaguar XQ or Q-type will run on a variant of the XS platform, a smaller sedan that Jaguar is going to manufacture to compete versus the popular BMW 3 Series.
The XQ is planned for 2016 production and will share its powertrain with Land Rover with a probability that the Ford-sourced 4-cylinder found in the Evoque being used. The top-of-the-line XQ will possibly utilize the 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 used in the Jaguar vehicle lineup.
