Jaguar XKR-S GT Got Winged Gear
The hottest Jaguar’s coupe, the XKR-S GT, was shown today on the stage of the 2013 New York Auto Show.
It is true that XKR-S aerodynamic body updates are significant with this vehicle. It got a huge spoiler and rear diffuser, wheel arch enlargement and other aerodynamic modifications that give up to 320 lbs of down force.
Well-known supercharged 5.0-liter V8 steeps 550 hp from under the hood with 502 lb-ft of torque that starts it from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds through a six-speed automatic gear box. But no only the power sets this model apart. Another thing is carbon ceramic brakes, first for any Jaguar production vehicle.
Along with 15.7 inch rotors in the front with six-piston callipers and 15-inch discs with four-piston callipers in the rear, give the car enhanced track possibility.
Jaguar didn’t stop even here. The suspension is also greatly updated with a wider front track, raised camber, corrected bushings, brand new steering system and rapid steering ratio.
Don’t hold your breath about seeing one in person outside an auto show. There are only 30 going to North America, 25 of which are for the U.S. and 5 for Canada. Price starts at $174,000 and the delivery will begin in the end of summer.
