Fuel Cooler Issue With 2016 Jaguar XE
Jaguar recalls 76 XE 2.0-litre turbo-diesel sedans from last model-year because of the fuel cooler. It can possibly leak.
The high-end brand from Britain says that the underfloor diesel fuel cooler in the aforementioned cars could leak. This issue can provoke an odour of fuel in the cabin.
According to the automaker, the drivers can see an increase in consumption of fuel. There also can be puddles of liquid under the vehicle when it is stationary.
In case such condition occurs, a puddle of fuel and an ignition source can cause a fire. Meanwhile, if the fuel leaks on the road surface, there will be a skid hazard to other drivers on the road.
The XE offerings under consideration were manufactured starting from October 6 and to June 30. The VIN range for these cars is SAJAB4C1XGA900002 to SAJAB4CN0GA911884.
Customers who own the recalled sedans will be reached by JLR Australia directly. They should bring their XE to the local automaker’s dealer. The fuel cooler assembly will be replaced there with a revised component for free.
