A Quick Update and AWD for Jaguar XF
Jaguar has presented the 2017 XF with 4-wheel drive set-up for the executive sedan.
We remind you that the XF was officially revealed in 2015. The British automaker has prepared a technical update. Actually, the identical technology is applied for the F-Type AWD (the sports coupe).
The AWD set-up will be possible to obtain only on the 2.0-litre diesel engine with 180 hp. It also spreads on an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle is able to sprint 0-60 in 7.9 seconds. Its top speed stands at 136 mph.
The four-wheel drive mechanism has weight of 231 pounds and transfers power to the rear wheels. After losing traction, the set-up transfers torque straight to the front axle and provides enhanced levels of grip in comparison with the RWD offering.
The Jaguar Configurable Dynamic system is also an innovation for the 2017 MY. Customers can order it for all versions in the line-up. The system provides customizable steering, transmission, throttle and suspension set-ups. Up till now the JCD was limited to six-cylinder cars.
The motor range has not been changed. The XF is still possible to obtain with a whole bunch of petrol and diesel engines. Their power can vary from 163 hp to 380 hp.
