Want to become a Formula One Engineer? Ask Infinity!

Infiniti is offering a career chance to engineers one more time.

The Japanese producer has stated the 2015 Infinity Performance Engineering Academy about awarding five winners from different regions a year internship with the automaker and Formula One, Infinity Red Blue Racing. The automaker will start with a comprehensive assessment for the best applications. There also will be a series of regional finals which will recruit winners from Europe, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and America.

The five roles include vehicle design, dynamics, electronics and aerodynamics. People who will apply to the Performance Engineering Academy must have relevant academic knowledge. Each candidate will undergo a three-stage process which starts with submitting the resume and a video covering the answer on “Why do I deserve this opportunity?” question. After that an in-depth analysis will be conducted by Infiniti Red Bull Racing and Infinity higher management together with a Skype interview. Then 10 participants in each market will be selected for attending their regional finals. They will complete teamwork tasks and a series of engineering which will be judged by experts.

Chief technical officer at Infiniti Red Bull Racing explains that thecompany is looking for very strong engineers in a technical field, but they need to excel in other fields as well. He tells that creativeness, thinking laterally and operating seamlessly together with a team are crucial moments in designing and creating road vehicles or cooperating with Formula One. The main technical officer shares that the work will be hard, but hints that the rewards will be high at the same time.
