Meet the 2017 Infiniti Q30
Infiniti is making a contribution into the compact premium segment with its innovated Q30.
The Japanese company presented the 2017 Infinity Q30 at the 2015 Motor Show in Frankfurt. The new model preserved its resemblance to the original concept that was presented two years ago. The compact hatchback rides on the Mercedes MFA platform underpinning the GLA-Class and CLA-Class offerings. Besides, it will equip the coming-soon QX30 crossover.
There will be three trim levels for the Q30: Sport, Premium and base. The base offering will ride with a 1.6-litre turbocharged V4 engine producing 120 hp and torque of 148 pound-feet. The Sport and Premium offerings will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-four engine generating 208 hp and torque of 258 lb-ft. The more powerful 2.0-litre engine will be offered for the American market.
Options for the transmission in the 2017 Infiniti Q30 spread to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed manual. Expect the model under consideration to arrive dealerships in select markets sometime later in 2015. The pricing and fuel economy numbers will be known before the launch.
