Hyundai Wants Uber Drivers to Get the Ioniq
Hyundai wants to know if there is a chance to become partners with Uber drivers in order to promote the latest Ioniq hybrid.
Toyota has already cooperated with Uber. The drivers used a Prius and now Hyundai decided to try the same. Toyota provides lease deals to Uber drivers in order to promote Prius usage.
In Europe the automaker has faced with legislation difficulties as some countries in the European Union are not keen on Uber. The Korean producer confirmed that it has been looking into Uber.
After the appearance of the Hyundai Ioniq on the Web, the model has been compared to the Prius from Toyota. However, differently from Toyota, Hyundai gives a fully-electric Ioniq version. The automaker’s eco-vehicle chief stated that they want to approach European cities and coming to an agreement on charging infrastructure. The company wanted to provide all the finance by themselves, but it requires too much money. The company wants cities to go 50/50 with them for providing better fast charging then everything could work.
Exploring the idea on the old continent brings certain issues, but there is a chance that incentives will be offered in America, just like Toyota.
