Honda to become an electric company

The Japanese company will become a 100 percent electric firm by 2040.

Honda will focus more on electric cars and their relationship with General Motors.

The Japanese brand aims to expand its network of electric cars significantly, and the future Prologue SUV will be the reporting point. The company wants to sell 70 thousand electric vehicles Prologue until 2024, after which the model sales should reach half a million copies in the U.S. by 2030. Already by 2040, the Japanese want to get 100 percent of sales of electric cars.

Such goals in Honda expect to achieve through cooperation with General Motors, using their Ultium architecture and battery system.
