Honda Civic Hatchback will arrive in America
The Honda Civic Hatchback returns to North America after its 10 years of absence.
If to believe the report from Nikkei, the company will develop its Civic of next generation with five doors at its factory in Swindon, U.K. It will begin sending vehicles across the pond in summer of the next year. Swindon’s factory is capable of building 250,000 vehicles each year under the condition of running at its full capacity. Though, now, one of its production lines is not working.
According to the report, nearly from 40,000 to 50,000 Civic hatchbacks will be produced for North America. The driving factor will completely utilize the production facility in Great Britain. Nevertheless, even these extra vehicles will not have Swindon operating active.
If the Civic Hatchback will sell in North America, it will be possible to compete with the other currently available five-door models, such as Ford Focus, Mazda3, Volkswagen Golf and Mazda3. The Civic Hatchback reminds of the current Fit. It has a little bit smaller footprint than the North American Civic Sedan.
