2014 GMC Sierra Receives Supreme V6 Torque, Starting at $25,085
When the brand-new 2014 GMC Sierra goes on sale this summer, the base-model 4.3-liter, EcoTec V6 will provide supreme torque with 305 lb-ft.
In general, three fresh EcoTec3 engines will be available to GMC Sierra customers, a 5.3-liter that will be available at start, and the 4.3-liter and 6.2-liter versions coming later this year. Sierras enhanced with the 4.3-liter V6 will have a tow rating up to 7,200 lbs for a regular cab, short bed and 4-wheel drive vehicle. The V6 is enhanced by 285 hp, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Sierra with the 4.3-liter EcoTec V6 is going on sale later this year with a price starting at $25,085 that includes a destination charge of $995. Fuel output for the V6 will be presented closer to the car’s start.
“This is technology no other truck brand can match, and we offer it in every EcoTec3 engines, for every client,” informed Jordan Lee, GM Powertrain head engineer. “It is a regular feature, so our buyers receive our best and most sophisticated technology regardless of trim level.”
