Ranger Owners, Do Not Drive Your Fords!
Ford and NHTSA want some 2006 Ford owners to stop riding their pick-up right away. This is due to the high danger of the driver side Takata airbag inflator rupturing in a collision.
The automaker says that the problem has to deal with almost 2,900 units of the tuck in North America. 190 of them are located in Canada and 2,712 in the United States. The units were manufactured at the Twin Cities Assembly Plant starting from August 10, 2005 to December 15, 2005.
Ford stated that owners with the affected cars are urged not to use their cars. They also are asked to contact the automaker right away and it will repair the cars. The manufacturer is going to send mobile repair teams to the owner’s homes. They will tow the affected cars to a local dealership and fix it. Besides, they will provide loaner cars.
