Firefighters training in 770-horsepower Ford Mustang ended in collapse
Dearborn's American city has become a place where firefighters, in an unusual exercise, practiced evacuating people from cars during accidents.
The car is the most potent road model in Ford history. It is the Mustang Shelby GT500. This machine was destroyed after training.
A pre-production prototype of the muscle car went to train firefighters. For such firefighting purposes, the vehicles were handed over by representatives of Ford. The vehicle was a decommissioned test car so that it would have been destroyed anyway.
Recall that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 debuted in 2019. The muscle car powers by a 5.2-liter V8 compressor engine with 770 "horses" and 847 Nm. The American company says it is the most potent supercharged 8-cylinder engine in the world. The engine interacts with a 7-speed "robot" with two clutches. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 3 seconds. The maximum speed of the model is limited to around 290 km/h.
