2014 Shelby GT Ford Mustang Generates 624 HP
After a 5-year gap, the Shelby GT Ford Mustang came back for the 2014 model year.
Based on the regular Mustang GT, the Shelby GT version is available with 431 hp in base model form, but power-hungry fans can opt for the Shelby GT/SC ultra-charged model that is offered with 526 hp. If that’s not enough, Shelby provides a model with an astonishing 624 hp, the most powerful model of the Mustang GT ever made.
As a post-title program, Ford dealerships can send a client’s GT coupe or convertible to Shelby for the packages with the entry-level kits featuring a Ford Racing suspension, Shelby exhaust, intake and motor tune for 431 hp, wheels and tires, short shifter, hood and Le Mans stripes. Each Shelby GT version is 50-state emissions legal and runs on regular pump gas.
There’s also a range of options customers can choose from, featuring more aggressive suspension bits, better brakes and supercharger enhancements. As for the 624-hp GT/SC model, it will reach 60 mph from a standstill in around 3.7 sec.
The base Shelby GT price kicks off at $14,985. The Shelby GT/SC package starts at $27,985.
