Karma Resale Values Stuck
While American electric auto brand Fisker is still breaking through heavy issues, Karma drivers are now watching their cars’ resale value take a deep fall.
Fisker Karma drivers are having issues with unloading their cars on the used vehicle market, with some not even receiving bids more than $50,000 on eBay. Lately, a dealer with the Fields Auto Group in Chicago got the highest bid of $45,100 for a used Karma – it didn’t even meet the reserve. Comparing that with the start price of more than $100,000 and the Karma looks like the refreshed Delorean.
What’s even worse is that Tesla, Fisker’s arch-rival, is assuring that its Model S will get the best resale value in the segment. The question is who really wants a used Karma today? The brand itself isn’t sure which way it’ll choose, if any at all.
