Three New Names for Fiat Chrysler
Fiat Chrysler is waiting for three new names.
The automaker has filed to protect the names Recon, Obsidian and Backcountry with the American Patent and Trademark Office. These names will probably be used for the producer’s trim cars, but one of them may be prepared for the new offering.
The trademark’s description for Backcountry and Obsidian says that it is designated for motor cars, namely, passenger vehicles, their structural details, trim and badges. Therefore, it is easy to suggest that the names are may be trim levels on cars.
As to Recon, the description reads, “Automobiles; Badges for cars”. These makes to think that the name may have been prepared for the new car from FCA. The rugged nature of the names makes to believe that Jeep vehicles may be among the candidates to have the badges.
A lot of trademark filings are not actually being used since producers prefer protecting names in case they will need them in future.
