Rendering of 500 Five-Door Hatchback from Fiat
See a speculative rendering of a 5-door hatchback from Fiat which is based on the 500X crossover.
The automaker applied some small, but effective tweaks on its 500 city vehicle. Now they have been implemented on a transfigured 500X. In such a way, a 5-door hatchback became worth of a Punto unit that is being kept away for a long time. The real deal might look very similar to it. Though, this is not a problem since the supermini segment would have been spiced up.
There is no information about a Punto successor’s launch now. According to the reports, the model will become a member of the growing 500 family. Hence it appears that the unit will change its name into something like 500 Plus.
The engine range will be taken from the renovated 500. For example, there will be a 0.9-litre Twin Air engine that generates 85 hp and 105 hp along with a 1.3-litre 16v Multijet II turbodiesel engine providing 95 hp. The producer will offer 5-spped and 6-speed manual gear-boxes and a Dualogic robotized transmission starting out from which engine will equip the vehicle.
Fiat is going to launch the Aegea compact sedan before this. By the way, this model will spawn a hatchback which will take place of Bravo and an estate variant. Therefore, it will mend the hole left by the Stilo Multiwagon.
