Fiat Offering $199 Lease For 500e
California customers interested in a Fiat 500e will be get a profitable offer from Fiat; a $199 lease for 36 months with a $999 down fee.
At retail, the price will be $32,500 plus a $7,500 tax fee. Los Angeles Times informs, consumers who lease won’t be able to collect the tax fee.
Those leasing the vehicle can also receive a special $2,500 bonus that California provides for electric models, which will cover the down payment and about six lease fees.
Fiat’s acts aggressively. Nissan currently lowered the base cost of the Leaf to $28,800, or $6,400 less than it was in 2012. Nissan also gives 36-month lease offer of $199 a month and a $1,999 down fee. But the Leaf is sold all over the world, unlike the 500e, which is limited to California only. The main reason for this is economic. Fiat stands to drop money on every 500e, and is only selling the model to comply with California emissions standards. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has gone on record with his unhappiness over the 500e’s money-dropping nature, informs Carsbase.com
“I will try to sell the needed numbers for me to balance compliance with the emission standards and not more.”
