New Convertible Conversion for Dodge Charger Unveiled
Dodge Fills the Convertible Gap
In 2022, Dodge introduced a Challenger convertible conversion through Drop Top Customs. Now, the collaboration continues with the unveiling of a convertible conversion for Dodge's electric muscle car.
A Perfectly Executed Conversion
An image on Facebook reveals a Charger Daytona prototype with a black fabric roof, showcasing the successful execution of the conversion on the large coupe. The kit likely includes a power top and additional reinforcements to maintain rigidity.

Details Yet to be Revealed
Florida-based Drop Top Customs has not released specific details about the new conversion. Questions remain about the additional weight it will add to the already heavy electric vehicle, as well as the impact on trunk space and overall range.
Pricing and Process
The previous upfit for the Challenger cost $25,999 and included a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Customers had to order their vehicle at a local Dodge dealer and have it shipped to Drop Top Customs for the conversion. The new conversion for the Daytona is expected to be similarly priced, if not more expensive, due to the complexities of working with an electric vehicle platform.
