Meet Challenger GT AWD Concept from Dodge at SEMA
Dodge has previewed its Challenger GT AWD concept in October. Now the automaker has officially shown it to us.
The one-off offering is being displayed at SEMA now. The brand describes its model as a “year-round muscle car” allowing one to have one’s cake and eat it as well.
Let us start from the exterior part. The car is coloured in a Destroyer Grey colour. Its upper body is Matte Black and features Header Orange accents. The model has a wide body kit, rear spoiler and front splitter. Fuel filler door is Satin Black. The Challenger under consideration boasts 20-inch 5-spoke alloys and sports exhaust system with four tailpipes.
Entering the interior you will be surprised with Katzkin leather / suede seats. Their Header Orange stitching is rather contrasting. The car received a trunk mat, a plane helm and Challenger sill plates.
A 5.7-litre HEMI eight-cylinder engine generates power for the vehicle. It benefits from the Scat Pack 3 Performance Kit. The kit includes hi-flow manifolds and catalysts, CNC-ported cylinder heads and innovated exhaust manifolds. The automaker refused to announce the power output of the concept. We know that the performance set-up provides 75 hp (56 kW) and 44 lb-ft (59 Nm) of torque more.
The 5.7-litre unit is joined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system. We suppose that this will increase traction.
