HEMI Shaker Comes Back to Tease 2013 SEMA Event
There’s should be an option coming to the Dodge Challenger for 2014: the “shaker” hood.
During the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Dodge reported that it will start providing the shaker hood on 5.7-liter HEMI-fitted Challengers. An opened space in the surface allows an air intake to poke through. As the motor runs, the intake… well, you can see that on the picture. “Shaker” badge will be also under the hood.
There’s more to the Challenger R/T Shaker than just an advertisement. The vehicle is delivered with a performance-modified suspension and the “Super Track Pak,” which provides refreshed steering, high-performance brake linings and enhanced monotube shocks.
The interior is also customized with a 3-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel. There’s also a Shaker numbered nameplate on the dashboard and seats with and an embroidered shaker emblem. The powertrain arrives with a 6-speed manual transmission with an aluminum pistol grip shifter. You can also choose a 5-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
Dodge also informed that the package will cost $36,985 for a “well fitted” version or $37,485 with the racing stripes seen here. Expect the vehicle to arrive dealerships during the first quarter of next year.
