Citroen has developed the world's smallest police car
The diminutive Citroen Ami will now serve in the police force.
The car will patrol the resort island of Halki in Greece.
The local police have got a miniature Citroen Ami, which are electric cars. The car reaches a length of 2.41 m and a width of 1.39 m. A big bonus is that the electric vehicle does not pollute the environment, which is very important at the resort.
Citroen Ami is considered a city two-seater car with a weight of 500 kg. The peculiarity of the car is asymmetric doors: the door on the right opens as standard and on the left - against the movement.
The electric motor has a capacity of 8 horsepower, allowing Ami to accelerate up to 45 km/h. The battery has a total of 5.5 kWh, providing a range of 70 km. The battery can be recharged in 3 hours.
