2015 Chrysler 200 Manufacture Launching in Early 2014
The refreshed 2015 Chrysler 200 will launch manufacture in early 2014 at the company’s Sterling Heights assembly factory, the same place where a midsize sedan meant to substitute the Dodge Avenger will be assembled.
The fresh 200 will be an important model for Chrysler, as the American brand tries to gain market share in the midsize vehicle category. Chrysler wants to take the fight the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, and will do so with full refreshment. The brand-new 200 will share its underpinnings with the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee.
Although speculation made it seems as though the Dodge Avenger would be axed, Reuters informs that the vehicle will get a substitute, though whether or not it will carry the Avenger nameplate is not clear enough.
Chrysler lately added a new paint shop and a fresh body shop to the factory, reconfirming the company’s commitment to Sterling Heights, which was planned to be closed at one point.
