The first 2016 COPO Camaro will be Auctioned
Chevrolet has stated about auctioning off the first 2016 COPO Camaro.
The offering will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale (Arizona). Event will happen on January 29th. It was presented at SEMA last November. The vehicle features the 2016COPO001 serial number. Hot red exterior of the vehicle boasts an outstanding graphics inspirited by NHRA Funny Car driver Courtney Force.
The COPO Camaro was created to take part in the NHRA Stock Eliminator class. A 2.9-litre Whipple supercharged racing motor. The automaker did not want to tell about the performance specifications. However, we know that the engine is joined to a THM-350 automatic transmission.
The model was created for drag racing. Therefore, it is equipped with lightweight racing seats having five-point harnesses and a chrome-moly roll cage. The COPO Camaro benefits from a solid rear axle and an adjustable front suspension and coilovers. Other characteristics spread on a race-spec platform, high-performance brakes and a fuel cell featuring an integrated high-pressure fuel pump.
The United Way will receive all the proceeds from the winning bid. The organization is aimed at creating community solutions that are able to improve people’s lives.
