Newest Malibu by Chevrolet Marred with Brakes Problem
More than 140,000 units of 2014 Malibu will be recalled by Chevrolet due to malfunctioning brakes.
Recalled Malibus hold V4 motors with the displacement of 2.5 litres under the bonnet and use a start-stop mechanism. The campaign should be initiated by General Motors as of today, however, some sources indicate that Chevrolet has begun to handle the issue separately.
The issue with the brakes lies specifically in vacuum and hydraulic elements which do not work properly thus creating a danger of making stopping distance longer.
Reports from the National Highway Traffic Safety Association mention 8 deals on the model fully fitting the profile.
Notification campaign for the affected owners will imply mass mailing with the request to refer to the dealerships.
