Mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette officially declassified
The Chevrolet declassified a new-generation Corvette, which first given a mid-engine layout.
The cost of the car starts at a minimum of $60,000. The Mid-Motor Corvette will start selling along with the current generation model, which will soon be upgrading. Production of cars will be in Bowling Green, in Kentucky, USA.
The car body was made of aluminum and fiberglass panels. Wheels for 20 inches with Brembo brakes will appear. The car is 4.63 m long, 1.933 m wide, 1.234 m high. The wheelbase is 2.723 m, the boot volume is 357 l.
Corvette take a 6.2-liter 'aspirated' V8 aluminum. The power of the LT2 engine is just over 500 hp. The unit operates together with the new 8-speed manual gearbox with two clutches. The traction is transmitted only to the rear wheels. "Hundreds" new with optional package Z51 Performance Package dials for 3 seconds. The weight of this Corvette is 1530 kg. Shock absorbers can lift 40 mm in front of the car.
The driver has at his disposal six modes of movement: Weather, Tour, Sport, Track, MyMode, Z mode. The supercar interior is rich in a 12-inch multimedia screen and Bose audio on 14 speakers.
