Eight Speeds For 2017 Chevy Colorado
The drivetrain from Chevrolet will be updated in the midsize Colorado pickup. An innovated 8-speed automatic gearbox and an upgraded 3.6-litre six-cylinder motor will be added.
The new engine’s direct injection set-ups and variable valve timing turned into 308 hp and torque of 275 pound-feet at 4,000 rpm. The cylinder deactivation is also new. The motor can cut 2 cylinders during the ride on the highway in order to raise the economy of fuel.
As for the other changes, the transmission will be 8-speed automatic. So this is the only Chevy small truck featuring more than 6 speeds.
Thankfully to the magnesium and aluminium, the automaker preserved the weight the same as of the 6-speed offering.
The next year’s Chevy Colorado will arrive late this year.
