Corvette Zora ZR1 Will Reach the Highest Ranks of Mid-Engine 'Vette'

One of the last publications in the Car and Driver states about the revolutionary C8-generation Corvette which was always a dream of customers. Zora ZR1, as it will be called, will present the mid-engine architecture of Corvette. The offering’s quantity will be about 1,500 cars per year. The price is said to be around $150,000 so that developing costs could be justified.
In order to accommodate the C8, an aluminum space frame will be evolved. Chassis will be modernized for mid-engine installation. The control arm suspension tackles, regulative moisteners, Brembo brakes and carriage springs will also be innovated.
Mark Reuss, the head of the GM global product development stated that the next Corvette model is on the job. He assumed that after 61 years of developing it will be a pure innovation. More information is coming as the C8 is going to be presented in three years.
