Chevy Shuts Down Plant Tours To Preserve The New Corvette In A Secret
The general public will not get a chance to tour General Motors’ Bowling Green Assembly Plant for 18 months.
The public tours have been shut down, reports Bowling Green Daily News. So, public will not get a chance to see what the automaker has prepared for the C8 Corvette.
It’s the 1st time in the past years that the suspension is so long. The new paint shop is being applied at the factory into the existing assembly range. According to Katie Frassinelli, the old paint shop is on the opposite side of the factory.
So, regarding May, public tours will not be offered on May 8-12, May 19, May 26, May 29 and May 30. Speaking of June, tours will not be offered on June 6. Moreover, they will be shut down after June 16.
The producer has been keeping the mid-engine Corvette C8 in a secret. However, paparazzi managed to get a snap of a prototype while testing. We suppose it will enter production till the winter of 2018.
