Chevrolet is preparing a New Crossover

An innovated three-row Chevrolet crossover of a mid-size is being developed.

The American automaker’s crossover segment is gaining its popularity around the globe. Chevrolet is preparing a new offering. It will be placed between the full-size Traverse and the compact Equinox. A lot of other produces are aimed at creating four different sizes of their crossover. The sizes should range from full-size to compact. In such a way, needs of all customers will be satisfied. Moreover, by adding a new offering, the automaker will change the existing models in order to keep clear of cannibalizing sales.

Chevrolet’s Equinox will be downsized for the next-gen offering. It will probably be presented at the beginning of 2017. The innovated Chevrolet crossover will have three rows. According to the reports, it will originate on a short-wheelbase variant of the Traverse.

By the way, the Traverse will be renovated in two years. Therefore, it will happen almost at the same time the innovated crossover will be launched for sale. The automaker has not come up with the model’s name yet. The new addition will extend beyond the Chevrolet’s scope. The shorter gauge will also be used in the next-gen GMC Acadia and the Cadillac XT5 expected to debut in the middle of the next year.
