Chevrolet Bolt EV Concept Presented at NAIAS with 200+ mile Range
The rumours about the Bolt EV concept were true since it was unveiled today at 2015 NAIAS in Detroit.
The concept has a shape of a five-door hatchback similarly to the BMW i3 with short front and rear overhangs. It is created by a combination of light materials (aluminium, carbon fibber, woven mesh and magnesium). The vehicle can boast its aerodynamically-optimized vented back wings. They help to enhance the range. LED technology was used for front and rear lights.
The automaker says that the interior can boast with an enormous amount of headroom and legroom. The see-through roof intensifies the feeling of spaciousness. The cabin is high-tech and has slim seats. The last are installed on exposed aluminium pedestals. The minimalistic centre console hosts a 10-inch touch screen display and has floating styling.
There is no information about hardware yet. Though, the Bolt EV concept can provide a range of more than 200 miles (or 322 km). If it will be built, the price will start at $30,000.
