A New World Record Completed By 2017 Chevrolet Silverado HD
Chevy provided a giant flag in order to tout its latest Duramax 6.6-litre turbodiesel eight-cylinder in the Silverado HD. A new Guinness World Record was set in the process.
The next year’s Chevy Silverado HD featured a huge 40-by-80 feet American flag at Motor Speedway held in Texas. It was provided to celebrate the latest engine and the State Fair of Texas. Chevy has also prepared the Flag of Texas.
As the flags were too big to deploy automatically, 20 people were used to launch and retrieve them. The model had to tow the flags at a minimum of 100 meters (obviously, without the flags touching the ground). The truck made 4 full laps in the 1.5-mile Speedway.
The innovated 6.6-liter Duramax produces 445 hp and torque of 910 pound-feet.
