2014 Corvette Convertible Unveiled
Chevrolet has unveiled two photos previewing the brand-new Corvette Stingray Convertible.
Sadly, Chevrolet said nothing regarding details on its Corvette Stingray Convertible, but assured that a lot of information will be unveiled once the car is showed in Switzerland.
Be ready to find a smallblock V8 under the hood with 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, paired to either a 6-speed automatic or a fresh 7-speed manual with an auto-rev-matching option.
According to Corvette’s head engineer, Tadge Juechter, “Every Corvette is constructed at the outset as an open vehicle.” So it’s no surprise that the Corvette Stingray’s open-top version will be showed before the coupe counterpart even hits the dealership lots in North America.
The American brand also informed before that the first Stingray Convertible will be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach show to benefit Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Let’s remember that the first-ever Corvette Stingray went for amazing $1.05 million at the Scottsdale, Arizona Barrett-Jackson auction.
