New Cadillac Lyriq will show on August 6
For the first time, the teaser Cadillac Lyriq was shown in March, presenting a new platform for electric cars from General Motors.
The premiere was supposed to happen in April as part of an automobile exhibition in New York. However, due to the cancellation of the event, it did not take place.
Although the model presented in the release is called a show car, it is as close as possible to the car's serial version. The prototype externally firmly repeats the Cadillac EV concept. The shape of the Cadillac Lyriq profile resembles a wagon or a hatchback. But the novelty will most likely be positioned as a crossover.
Cadillac Lyriq will have an unusual interior decoration with a curved OLED panel. At the heart of the crossover is GM's latest modular architecture, and the Cruise Origin crewless shuttle and GMC Hummer pickup also built on its base.
The platform for electric vehicles from GM uses Ultium batteries with a capacity of 50 to 200 kW/h. The battery allows you to travel up to 644 km without recharging maximum.
