Meet the CT6 Plug-In Hybrid from Cadillac
Cadillac made an official statement about its plug-in hybrid CT6.
The vehicle will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 engine joined to an innovated gear box. The last one uses dual electric motors combining totally 335 hp and torque of 432 lb-ft. The automaker assures that electric system will give the vehicle an opportunity of “sprinted acceleration”. At the same time almost 37 miles of fully electric driving will be possible for the car.
The company has not revealed the numbers of fuel economy, but said that the MPGe of the model will be enhanced in two times in comparison with its regular MPG rating. Charge times have also remained in a secret, though it is known that 120V and 240V charging will be available for the customers.
The plug-in CT6 will benefit from 3 different drive modes: sport, hold and normal. Normal mode supplies everyday driving comfort. Hold mode will give the owner an opportunity of choosing when the vehicle functions on fully electric power. Sport mode will change up the steering response and throttle for more fun. The CT6 will also be equipped with regenerative brakes. They will help the car to regain some power during stopping.
The offering will reach America in the first part of the next year. Probably, it will happen after the regular non-hybrid CT6 goes on the market.
