240V Home Station for Every Cadillac ELR Customer

Cadillac is planning to attract new buyers by making a free installation of 240-volt charging station available to its current ELR clients.

The home station is claimed to produce a full charge in 4.5 hours. The advantage over a usual charge totals, thus, 8 to 13.5 hours.

Such equipment is meant to make for a rather compelling price for the electric car: $76,000 present it rather prominent at the market. Those who want to lease ELR will have to pay $700 on a monthly basis for almost 3.5 years of lease. Apart from that a one-time $6,000 signing toll is charged.

Power figures of ELR total 207 hp and torque of 295 lb-ft. A car fully charged by electricity and gas can easily last 340 miles.
