2015 Cadillac Escalade Shown Ahead of NY Premiere
Cadillac has uncovered a couple of teaser pictures for its approaching 2015 Escalade, demonstrating the next-gen luxury SUV’s emblem and headlights.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will be released on October 7 in NY and Carsbase will be reporting live. The new Escalade will reach dealerships nationwide by mid-2014 and will probably share technologies with the fresh crop of 2014 GM trucks and SUVs.
That features both a 5.3-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter V8, both of which include cylinder deactivation, direct injection and variable valve timing. Like the trucks, the motors are likely to be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission at launch, but an 8-speed unit is said to be constructed.
The 2015 Escalade will be based on the freshly enhanced Chevrolet Silverado platform, and based on the teaser image of the headlights, it’s evident that the American company is adopting styling cues from its pickup. It will however carry on its standard boxy shape, putting the focus on power and presence rather than fuel efficiency.
