Buick Might Produce More GS Vehicles
There might be a fresh harvest of “GS” emblem wearing Buick models waiting in the wings.
GM’s vice president of worldwide design, Ed Welburn, said as much according to a new report from Car and Driver. The Regal is nowadays the only car available in a GS variant and includes brake, wheel and suspension enhancements.
Welburn’s statement is hardly amazing. The Verano Turbo is available with a manual transmission and would make a reasonable candidate for what boils down to a mild performance upgrading package. Its turbocharged 4-cylinder provides 251 hp.
It isn’t shocking to assume that the Lacrosse could get an upgrade package as well. The 3.6-liter V6 is the same model equipped in the Cadillac CTS and could easily be upgraded to make the same 322 hp.
