Rendering of 2016 Audi Q5
The next year’s Audi Q5 was rendered by RM Design.
The German automaker has already given itself away during the vehicle’s testing. We know that it will preserve its general shape of body. Besides, its front end will be inspired by a Q7. The 2nd-gen Q5 was rendered will full LED headlamps, sporty bumpers, and famous hexagonal radiator enclosure.
The car is originated on the MLB Evo architecture. Judging from this, it will be 100 kg lighter than the previous model. It also will be somewhat larger in its footprint. Engine range will be the same as in the current A4. This means that a full line-up of petrol and diesel engines will be possible to obtain. A 2.0 TFSI engine generating 252 hp (or 185 kW) and torque of 370 Nm (or 273 lb-ft) is also in the list. Besides, there will be a luxury SQ5 variant with both petrol and diesel units.
The automaker has not announced the official date of the vehicle’s introduction yet. We assume that it will happen at next year’s NAIAS that will be held in January or at the NY Auto Show three months after it. San José Chiapa factory in Mexico will be responsible for assembling the model.
