From Audi RS3 made a 1200-strong supercar on electricity
The Schaeffler engineering company from Germany used the "hot" Audi RS3 sedan as the basis for the electric prototype 4ePerformance.
The car was given a new body of aerodynamics with extended wheels, and a stock 2.5-liter turbo engine found a replacement in the face of four electric motors from a car from Formula E.
The show car is set in motion by the motors of the racing ABT Schaeffler FE01, which took part in the races of the 2016-2017 season. They represent 2 units per axle. In each, the output is 299 hp. and 320 Nm, which in total gives 1196 hp.
In both pairs of electric motors there is a one-speed transmission, but each is connected to the wheel via a spur gear. Power to the electric motors goes from the battery pack to 64 kilowatt-hours.
