Audi Rejects RS1 Creation
Technical leader at Quattro GmbH has announced that Audi is not going to create an RS1 offering for the range of small cars.
In an interview with TopGear, the director stated that the model does not look like realistic. Everything depends on finances. He stated that the smaller vehicle gives less money; therefore, it is needed to sell too many cars to earn money. He explained that the smaller the car is, the tougher business will be.
Reil also said that having difference in the horsepower (the vehicle approximately could stand between probable RS1 and S1) could mean that it would be near with S3 in the range.
The model S1 is the most sportive in the lineup. It is a 2.0-liter TFSI V4 producing 231 hp (or 170 kW) and torque of 370 Nm (or 273 lb-ft). The model can ride at 250 km/h (or 155 mph). It can gain 100 km/h (or 62 mph) in 5.8 seconds. At the same time S1 Sportback is a little bit slower since its weight was increased because of the back doors.
